Hello Everyone

Simple question - is it possible to integrate other mail clients into IE such as The Bat or Pegasus?

Thank you.

What do you mean by "integrate" ? Opening your email client when clicking on a mailto link is possible. Trying to use the "Send page by email" or "Send link by email" options is much harder if not impossible in my experience, though I didnt try very hard.

So...How can one make their mail client (Pegasus or The Bat) open when one clicks on a mailto link? Under Tools>Internet Options>Programs only the three MS options are available and any others cannot be added there. Perhaps a registry tweak?

Thank you MickeyTheMan. We will contact the vendor in question about this. Actually we were trying Pegasus first and want to try The Bat also. We have not got to The Bat yet, though.

Pegasus has no forum that we can find. Of course we see The Bat has one. Paul knows best. :)

Aha....a hidden switch! Now we have full IE integration. Thank you everyone.

(Now if only we could learn how to delete mail on the server!)

{What some developers imagine is intuitive is really only barely figureoutable by others. ???)

For Pegasus try the Usenet forum

Comp.mail.pegasus-mail.ms-windows

There's also a mailing list

http://www.pmail.com/support2.htm

As for making Pegaus use IE mailto links ,
look under options-->incoming mail--->Hyperlink

Click on the button MSIE mailer.

Thank you jayK

We now have Pegasus working with the "mailto" in IE.

There seemed to be a problem deleting mail from the server. We click on the particular mail, highlight it and click delete. Upon asking if there is any new mail the same letter is still on the server. ??? ??? Well one day....
