Giving away NOD

Hi everyone! :D
When my computer broke, and I knew I wouldn't have a compter or be on the internet for a long time, I gave my NOD name and password to a friend. He downloaded NOD and entered my password and my name, and everything worked fine.
After about 30 days (he's not sure) NOD stopped working.
Does anyone know if you cannot give away NOD in this way?

Well if your friend gave the username and password to others since he didn't give a crap about it (afterall he didn't pay for it). Then yes I would assume that your/his account got canned.

Or maybe you subscription expired.

If I understand your response correctly, no, my friend would never have done that. He's very honest.
My subscription started in August, I believe, so it hadn't expired.

Hi Douglas,

For licensing questions like this a direct email with Eset (or to the particular reseller where you got your license) is a much better way to address this. There can be all kinds of factors involved and they will need to check your purchasing and license information in any case.

IMHO licence (which includes login/password) is not transferable to third party withou ESEt consentn. Means you violated licence agreement.
Plus addtional bonus - if some passwd gets too m,uch public on internet ESET would most likely cancel it. And for good reason....
