I still use ewido 3.5, but my question is rather general.
How many of you turn your screen savers off before running an ewido/avg-as scan?
Of those of you that leave it on, how long are your scans?
On one of my computers, a scan will run for over 45 minutes with a screensaver; on another only 20-25 minutes. Both systems have xp home edition sp2, the same security programs, updates, and patches.
The screensavers that cause the longest scan times seem to be Windows 3-D screensavers; other ones do not interfere.
Also, at one point I downloaded two wallpapers from microsoft.com (on the computer that now has slower scan times), didn't like them, and unistalled them. Could this have caused a change in the scan time length (it used to be 20-25 minutes regardless of screensaver type)?
Thanks in advance, any feedback would be appreciated!
