Why is it that when i start installing it, it says" Setup could not verify the integrity of the file update.inf. Make sure cryptographic service is running on this computer. " Can anyone help me? I can't install lots of updates.

is the cryptographic service actually running? you can tell by looking at the services dialog in administrative tools. mine is set to automatic (and it is started). if it actually IS running and you still get this error, then i don't know. hope this helps.

it's to let windows know that your windows files are correct. please see the attached pic.
