Mozilla Firebird is a free, open-source and cross-platform web browser for Windows, Linux, MacOS X and other operating systems. It is small, fast and easy to use, and offers many advantages over other web browsers, such as the tabbed browsing and the ability to block pop-up windows.

That's a zipped version of Firebird 0.7.

Here's the same thing with a full-fledged installer...
URL=> Firebird 0.7 setup.exe (http://seb.mozdev.org/firebird/)

If you have a previous version of Firebird [or Phoenix] installed, then you should...
1) Copy the following from the profile directory at Windows\application data\

userChrome.css
userContent.css
user.js
cookies.txt
cookperm.txt

2) Then...
Remove the old profile, remove old firebird
Install new FB 0.7
Run new FB 0.7
Quit new FB 0.7

3) Copy backedup files from step #1 to the new profile.

4) Restart FB 0.7. Re-enter homepage location & any desired extension in FB >Tools>Options.

Hello again ;)

MHertz, you might want to check a recent discussion in http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=14249

You seem to know the Mozilla family products quite good... If you don't mind I'd like to have your opinion on the issues raised overthere...

Thanks...

That is quite a long thread. I will try to read through it this weekend and post a little. What I can say right now is that I was apprehensive when I first tried Firebird, but after a few hours with it tweaking it to my style I have never looked back. The only time that I use IE now is when I download critical updates and service packs from M$.
