Acronis Master image Creator massive image!

I am creating an image from a computer that has a 73 gig drive. Only 4 gigs is used. When I begin making the image, it says that my image size will be 2.x gigs. Then the process just runs endlessly filling up my drive. Last time I canceled it, the image had grown to 14 gigs.

This image was originally on a different set of hardware, I used universal restore to the new machine, and proceeded to make a image. That is when it grew in size.

Any help is greatly appreciated,

Check to see if the acronis software is detecting any errors on the drive. If there are bad sectors the software seems to create a byte by byte image. If you are unable to repair the errors or everything checks out fine consider manually resizing the partition before imaging.
