Should I use IE-Spyad(x) and spyblaster

I found a 2003 readme file on my PC relating to IE-Spyad2.
It had an extensive write up on how it works with spyblaster.
I long since deleted IE-Spyad and mainly use FF unless forced into IE6

Should I use IE-Spyad(x) and spyblaster or is it obsolete?
