Tried this out today and did a quick scan. The CPU usage was 95-98% for about a minute then it settled down to 30-40%.
When it settled down. NOD32 kernel was up to 60 odd% and stayed there until I stopped A squared's scan.
Does anyone else use these two apps and have you seen anything similar?

Happenes here also some times. IMHO the reason is that when A-squared accesses a file for scanning, NOD32 does this also parallel. I always disable AMON during scans with other AV/AT applications.

I haven't had that happen.
I do the same thing that Tommy says-I disable all the security monitors.
Antivirus monitors do follow after scanners.

I disabled all real time monitors and it still used 98% CPU for around the first minute of scan. Thanks for the help but I've decided against using it.
