I currently use Nod32. From browsing around it seems BitDefender is a respected freeware program for backup A/V use. I'm just wondering if anyone knows of spyware in it. Hard to image a decent freeware A/V without some form of money in it for em.
Am I missing any other 'respected' freeware A/V's. I only need on-demand scanning as a backup.
TIA!

Hi Hummer,
To my knowledge there is only one AV that is reputedly spyware: EAntology's StopSign:
