I initially created my full & incremental backups w/o compression.... Can I compress them now via Acronis True Image? some other method?

Thanks" }-That wouldn't be a good idea. TI won't do it, and a third party compression would make any recovery much more difficult. First, you'd have to uncompress in a Windows environment, and then you'd be able to restore.
Just use compression for future backups. After a while these old backups will not be useful and can be deleted.

Or you could just store them on compressed filesystem.
