hi everybody...
I have Nod32 version 2.51.30 installed on my computer. my problem is that the memory usage of the process nod32krn.exe on my computer is usually around 20,000k.
is this normal? does this process takes this much memory for anyone else? anyone knows a way to fix this?
thanks... :)

Hello, flash7!
This is normal. My nod32krn.exe uses the same memory amount.
NOD32 is one of the lightest AVs in memory usage. Others use more than 30-40 MB so you're ok. ;)

Sometimes it will go as low as 4mb. But usually it's around 17 on my pc anyways.

Well, I haven't seen it running under 1 MB but as long as the icon in sys tray is green and it is working, everything is fine. ;D

Actually task manager usually reports virtual memory - eg. 20MB.
The physical memory used by nod32krn.exe is only around a third of this, or less.
Cheers :)
