Update of profile ?

Every time i do a scan using NOD32 it informs me that a profile has been updated and gives me the option to update it.

1) is this normal?
2) what exacty is being updated?
3) why?

It should only ask you to save the profile if you change something.
This could be scanning targets, scrolling, settings etc.
