Since I upgraded to latest version (3.677), my backup files split at 348.16mb. Drive I backup to is ntfs. File splitting is set to 4.34gb in options. Older version did this just fine. Anyone have an explanation?

Thanks,
John

Since I posted, I checked properties of the files and they show 4.3gb. Windows file explorer however, shows 384.16mb for all splits but final one which shows true size of 2.34gb. This seems to be limited to windows file explorer because other file utilities show true size of files.

Most likely, windows explorer was code using the old version of the relevant API, which is known to return incorrect file sizes. So you likely found a windoze bug.

Report it to MSFT, I expect that they would fix it in the next SP for the OS. Fix is easy. Took me more time to type this response than it would take to fix the code,
