Public 2.51.30 vs. Registered 2.51.26?

The public trial download is versioned 2.51.30. The registered user download is versioned 2.51.26. Does it stand that the public download contains certain module updates the registered user download does not? Is it recommended to install the 2.51.30 public trial and then update to the full version vs. directly installing the 2.51.26 registered user package?
