Hello maverick193,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/).

Please accept our apologies for the delay with the response.

First of all, please make sure you use the latest build (3677) of Acronis True Image 9.0 Home which is available for downloading in the Product Updates (https://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/my/updates/) section of your account at Acronis web site.

You can find the full version name and build number by going to Help -> About... menu in the main program window.

To get access to updates you should create an account (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/my/) then log in and use your serial number to register the software.

Please uninstall the previously installed build by following Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs -> Acronis True Image prior to installing build 3677.

After installing the update please re-activate Acronis Startup Recovery Manager using the Activate Acronis Startup Recovery Manager tool (see Section 3.4 of the Acronis True Image 9.0 Home User's Guide (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/download/docs/) for details) and see if the problem still persists.

If the problem still persists with the latest build (3677) of Acronis True Image 9.0 Home, please do the following:

I. If the boot process reaches the selection screen advising you to select either "Full" or "Windows" option after you press F11 key, please try booting with the "acpi=off noapic" parameter as it is described in Acronis Help Post (http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=55317).

If booting with the "acpi=off noapic" parameter does not help, please also try booting with the "vesa=off" parameter (use "vesa=off" instead of "acpi=off noapic").

If that does not help either then please create Linux system information (sysinfo.txt) as it is described in Acronis Help Post (http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=55317).

II. If the boot process does not reach the above mentioned selection screen after you press F11 key, please provide us with the following information:

- If you are able to boot Windows, create Acronis Report and Windows System Information as it is described in Acronis Help Post (http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=55317);

- Let us know the exact vendor and model of the laptop having the issue.

Then please submit a request for technical support (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/my/support/). Provide the files and information collected in your request along with the step-by-step description of the actions taken before the problem appears and the link to this thread. We will investigate the problem and try to provide you with a solution.

Thank you.
