I just purchased Acronis True Image 9 yesterday so all this stuff is new to me. I want to install Vista Beta 2 on a separate partition on my hard drive (I have not done this yet). I want to make a copy of my computer before I do this and use this to undo my Vista Beta 2 install (there is no uninstall). I have an external hard drive. Is this possible? (This is why I bought Acronis True Image 9.) What steps do you suggest? I really appreciate your help. Thanks.

Hi,
what you descripted is possible in five steps.
1. Register and download the newest version (if you don't already have it)
2. Install
3. Make the recovery CD
4. Backup to external drive
5. Boot with recovery CD to make sure your external drive is supported by the linux-recovery environment.
Now you can install VISTA. In case VISTA doesn't work for you, you can simple boot with the recovery CD and restore....

Thanks, that's what I was hoping you would say.
I will follow the steps you wrote.
