Hello,
I used the boot disk of TI v9.1.3718 Workstation (and i created an image file (with the extention of "tib") of my windows xp + essential programs. Is that a complete clone of my hard drive? I still didn't try to mount it..
Anyway, I was wondering, how can I burn now the image.tib file (on a DVD-R) so it will act as a boot disk, and will extract itself without the need of using TI boot disk as well.
Thanks for the help
Tom

Hello tomchook,
Thank you for choosing Acronis Workstation Disk Backup Software (http://www.acronis.com/enterprise/products/ATICW/).
Please accept our apologies for the delay with the response.
I believe you have confused a little bit with the terms of "Backup" and "Clone" in Acronis True Image. Please be aware that there are two approaches available:
Clone Disk - transfers the entire contents of one disk drive to another;
Backup - creates a special archive file for backup and disaster recovery purposes;
Please take a look at this FAQ article (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/faq/disk-clone-tool/) explaining the difference between Clone Disk and Backup approaches in more detail.
You have created the backup (image) of your system. Acronis True Image can create the image of the entire hard disk (including ALL the partitions) or you can image separate partition(s). Disk and partitions images contain a copy of track 0 along with MBR (Master Boot Record).
You can restore the created image when running Acronis True Image 9.1 Workstation in Windows or if your system fails you can boot your computer from Acronis True Image Bootable CD and restore it.

If you would like to accomplish this goal I would recommend that you use Acronis One-Click Restore option. The Acronis One-Click Restore is a minimal addition to your rescue media, allowing one-click data recovery from an image archive, stored on this media. You can find more information on how to use it in Chapter 6.3.9 "Media components" in the Acronis True Image 9.1 Workstation User's Guide (http://www.acronis.com/download/docs/). Also this thread (http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=141105) might be useful. Please note that you will need to create a new image with this option.
Thank you.
