View Full Version : Cannot assign a drive letter to a partition from the backup archive

I was deleting a folder from a backup partiton. It took me too long, so I closed the filemanager wth Ctrl-Alt-Del and 'end process'. Probably this left the partition 'corrupt' because I can log in again, but only ' read', not 'read/write' .

All partitions are in one TIB-volume of 285 GB.

I have some 1 GB space left outside this volume.

I ran the integrity check on the backup volume, and in the morning (it took some 4 hours) showd no error notifications on screen.

So what to do now to be able to go in again with the read/write option?

Hello ConsultPlus,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/).

First of all, please make sure you use the latest build (3677) (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/support/updates/) of Acronis True Image 9.0 Home. To get access to updates you should first register (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/registration/) your software.

Please also note that if you select Read/Write mode, the program assumes that the connected image will be modified, and creates an incremental archive file to capture the changes. The original image archive is not changed.

Please have a look at this previous post of mine (http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=143660) and collect the described information then please submit a request for technical support (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/my/support/). Attach all the collected files and information to your request along with the step-by-step description of the actions taken before the problem appears and the link to this thread. We will investigate the problem and try to provide you with the solution.

Thank you.
