You need to make sure that the original drive is disconnected on the first reboot after cloning otherwise XP gets drive letters confused. Make sure the new drive is set as the boot drive.

Hello just-in,
Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/).
Please accept our apologies for the delay with the response.
Could you please describe the issue in more details: what is the exact name of the product that you use? Could you please let us know the build number of the product, which you can find in the Help -> About dialog (it should be a 3 or 4 digit number)? Please explain your step-by-step actions which you took that led you to this issue. What tiles of the hard drives you use? Did you use the cloned hard drive on the same computer or not? Did you use Microsoft System Preparation Tool (Sysprep) (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/faq/clone-windows-to-hardware/) prior to the clone procedure? Plesae provide us with the exact error message you have received and when exactly you received this error message.
Thank you.
