Is guard.exe part of Ewido? It is running on Task Manager and I was just wondering.

yes it is.
guard.exe is ewido's background service.

Thanks for the info. I have Ewido 4, but I have it for on demand scanning only. It doesn't load with windows so how come Guard.exe is running?

Cause Ewidos like that. I dislike programs that aren't resident but still have active processes. I chuck them. Imho & ime it's arrogance on behalf of the software developers.
