Symantec CE again again

On my university I have seen that they use Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition on some computers. It appears to take less resources than the Norton AV product line and has a very nice interface(simple). Does it offer the same level of protection? Does anyone have any experience with it?

Level of protection is the same for viruses and the like. Not as many bells and whistles interface-wise.

It does require a bit less resources than for example, the 2003-04 versions of NAV. We use it on our corporate network, and it's a great A/V. Simple to manage, and very stable.
