TDS speech option doesn't work

Hi,

I executed SPCHAPI.EXE from http://tds.diamondcs.com.au/index.php?page=download but TDS speech synthesis test remains silent.

What's missing?

Hi polle, depending on your windows version there are different things needed.
Look for instance to get TDS speaking on XP in
this thread (http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=121;start=15) and get all the necessary additional tools and toys at www.microsoft.com/msagent
XP user don't need the msagent.exe as there is a special XP version of that shipping in XP, but all the additional TTS/VR /SAPI4 runtimes/Speech control panel you'll still need to get and not to forget the msagent characters from the site and/or your install cd-rom (XP) and wherever you find them on internet if you really like them :)
