Whether or not you see the .net as a democracy that gives all the chance to be heard. We understand that in a democracy we apportion power and some targets are more high value than others. Witness what happens when someone like Mark Russinovich was hit by Sony's shabby DRM story earlier this year.........

This time it's the turn of Paul Thurrot to fall foul of a big hitter, Microsoft and its Windows Genuine Advantage Tool.
As in real life, when you hit someone with something that's big enough........ and that someone is closely surrounded by onlookers - the possibility that other people will see and feel the damage becomes substantially higher.

Paul Thurrott's WGA Woes Solved

{QUOTE-> "Last week Slashdot ran an article regarding the trouble Paul Thurrott had with WGA. It turns out that after talking to Microsoft, he was actually running a pirated version of Windows, legitimately purchased from an online vendor. Paul admits that 'the truth is, I just made a mistake. If we learn something from that mistake, fantastic, but I wasn't trying to set up a life lesson for anyone, let alone myself.' <-QUOTE}
