In the main window of ATI, click on Tools, Options, Defualt Restore Options, and make sure that the box IS NOT checked for "Set current date and time for restored files."

It's only if that option box is checked that the file dates will be changed during restoration.

Since you don't want them changed, it makes sense to change the default setting in your case.

good luck,
sh

My recollection is that I reported this bug recently.
Perhaps it has been fixed in 3677???

In any case, I have a program what will allow you to reset the file dates.
Just have not gotten around to posting the critters.

Remind me HERE on Tuesday, if I have not yet posted the critters.

Thank you very much for the help. I had an old build of acronis, without the needed option. Now I need only:dry: to reconstruct the original dates.
This Programm from Howard Kaikow to reset the file dates might help me.

@ Howard Kaikow,

Your posts and those relating to your upcoming programs were split out of this Acronis thread and placed into a more appropriate forum.

Well, you are asking for a feature that others asked for and Acronis provided. The fix is in newer builds. However, if you want to stick with the older version of the prog, then there are lots of programs around to date-time stamp files and a number of good ones are free. Consider, for one example, attribute change:

THat program does not solve the problems raised.

Over the next few daze, I will post my programs at my web site, but they will not be announced here ~snip~

You'll just have to check my web site periodically.
And I am unsubscribing from this thread.

I am currently using ATI 10 and it has the same behaviour: on a partial restore the file dates can be kept intact but the folder dates are all reset. This is a big problem with large file sets.

When can we expect this long outstanding problem to be fixed.

Thanks for your help.

Michael
