Does anybody know anything about Alertwall from A1Tech?

They have a pre release version which is completely free.

Is A1Tech a reputable company?

Looking at their Program Control and Logs:
isnt Gator client application " Spyware"
If it is the same it seems an odd thing to have listed on a page displaying the worth of your firewall.

From their FAQ it seems they use a very advanced copy protection system:

-{ Quote: "If you've installed and registered AlertWall, then try to install somewhere else, you might get an error that tells you other instances of AlertWall have been in use within the last 10 days. This is to prevent users from buying one license, then installing on a bunch of computers (to prevent piracy and hackers).

Just use the trail version (your new install) for 10 days. Then try your email and unlock code again at that time. As long as the old version has not run in 10 days, you should be able to register to the new location after the 10 days.

Technically, the AlertWall Software Terms User License does not allow transfering but we realize your computer might crash and you might need to reinstall.

If you have a single license, and you want to install on more than one computer, click here to upgrade. " }-
How does one instance of the firewall know it has been in use somewhre else? Is it broadcasting it's serial number and hardware identification?

.... I would look for other free software ;)
