Here is a view from active kill disk for dos:

First: This is unusual, normally there should appear only one Floppy:
(false allocation in bios?)

Second: The first allocation:

Third: The second allocation: Kernel.sys in floppy??? What is that?!

I have 1 Floppy, this floppy allocation was probably demolished in bios when I used a software called deep freeze months ago. I did not uninstalled it with the Uninstaller of the software, just removed the software and drivers manually, reformatted the harddrives. Later reinstallation and uninstallation of the software brought no improvements.

So I accept the malfunction because I rarely use floppy, nevertheless some problems occurs. Example Gmer scanning devices, when reaching floppy device, Gmer crashes.

Now is the question did really this software manipulated the bios or something else installed a kernel32.sys into floppy sector of the bios?
