Everytime I check for updates I get a messages that there is a newer version and I get directed to the web site to down load version 2.6.1

I downloaded the new version. however, everytime I try to check for updates, I get the same message that there is a new version.

What am I doing wrong?

Hi Stan,

After downloading the updated installer, did you execute it and fully replace the old version in the same location? The easiest way to be sure is to run the uninstall for SpywareBlaster from Control Panel > Add/Remove programs. Remove SpywareBlaster than use the downloaded kit you have and reinstall it clean. This will ensure that the new version is running and not pieces of the old version. It should fix it.
