Want to uninstall Ewido security suite.
It's not recorded in 'add/remove programs'. There is no 'uninstall.exe' - in fact there is no 'install' folder.
I try to email ewido, click submit and nothing happens.
I only want rid of the trial/free copy I tried.
Any ideas?
Running XP, ISP is Tiscali. Using Norton internet security 2006.

Hello corystes,
Just checking the obvious first, have you gone to my computer - c/drive - program files - ewido and then opened the folder to see if uninstall.exe is there?

Why do you want to uninstall it? The new version was just released & it's terrific!
System mechanic from http://www.iolo.com has a lot of good tools, including a software uninstaller.

I had the same or a very similar issue.
Although it seems backward and unnecessarily redundant, if you follow the directions outlined by “HelpFromFrance” in this thread
http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=137242
..it will work.
Basically, you need to reinstall a new 3.5 over itself, and the newer version has an uninstaller.... you can find versions of 3.5 at filehippo.... or at least you could a week ago.
Be Careful out there.

Just go into 'Safe Mode'.......My Computer....C/Drive.....Programmes.....Highlight Ewido File and click delete and it's gone....

I tried Safe Mode delete but it would not let me ...
There are 3 files that would not let me do so.
1) Context.dll
2) Lang.dll
3) Shellhook.dll
Any ideas?

Update: after near 3 hours installing and uninstalling, rebooting etc, I finally managed to get rid of Ewido 3.5 ... I used the method as suggested by "HelpFromFrance" ... but it took many times and I nearly gave up on Ewido. But it is now fine with Version 4 installed but it started to give me problem too as I cannot Update Manually. Initially I could but now it wouldn't let me. Wonder if it was utilizing the version 3.5 engine to update ... hmmm ... I got the Free Version by the way.
