I'm sorry nokaoi! :(
I thought the major continents would be enough. Unfortunately, the polls in this forum software only allow 8 options, so there weren't a lot of other choices available.
Where are you from?
Edit: Okay, made a change to the options. Unfortunately, that's the limit of what can be put into a poll here. :-\

Errrrrr! Correct me if I'm wrong here Folks but isn't a Poll where you vote for or against something????
I can't quite grasp were a Poll comes in to this Thread.
I just thought it would be interesting to have a reasonable idea where we all are.
I put Lincolnshire England, I mean to say, "Netherlands" doesn't really do it does it? I might as well have said Europe which could be anywhere, right.
Like dear old Spike Milligan said "Everybody's got to be somewhere" LOL. So lets hear it from you Wild People.

Lincolnshire: 2,274 square miles
Netherlands: 13,104 square miles
Texas: 268,601 square miles
A poll is just a medium to keep count, nothing to vote for or against in this one.

I am from Stockport in England.
Yes I am proud to be English and with us winning the World Cup in Rugby it ok for a day or two to be proud once again of my Nationality. I have to crawl back into my hole again soon because I will be accused of not being politically correct.
Xmas is fast disapperaing from Parliament and soon to be scrapped is Easter another Christian Festival. It was once good to be "Cool Britannia" but now me and so many others like me who are proud to be English are not allowed to express how patriotic they are anymore. The country is going politically crazy. :'( God save the Queen ;)

Cyborg:
You have a right to be proud of your nationality and to be a patriotic Englishman. I have English ancestry and I am very proud of my English heritage. I saw the Rugby match on TV and thought it was a very exciting game and finish.
We are fast losing our Christian heritage in the US too. We wouldn't want to offend someone of another faith. ::)
God Save the Queen indeed! :)

I love trivia questions!
I Live in Sunnyvale California, smack in the middle of the Silicon Valley. The major benefit (and i really should do this more often) is people watching and impersonation of radical excentric computer genius millionaires. I believe tours actually take outsiders around to the places known to harbor computer celebrities, but as a local, I know all you need to do is cruise the isles at Fry's.
Uh, oh! I may be getting a little eccentric myself!

I am wondering what part of the world does Russia belong to, because half of it lies in Europe and another half in Asia. There is a continent called Eurasia, so I guess that is where Russia can be located on. ;)
I was born in The Far East (it is near Japan) but now I live&work in Moscow. It is snowy and cold here at this time! :)
May you all satisfy your need for joy, happiness and recognition in the new 2004 year!!! :)

Honeymoon Capital Of The World...So they Say (personally it"s just a tourist trap ;D) Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada 8)

My wife and I took a short vacation to Niagara Falls last year, first time either of us had ever been there which is weird considering how close we have always lived to that area. If you can ignore the tourist trap, which is indeed everywhere, and just concentrate on the Falls, it is very beautiful. We are hikers and enjoyed hiking the gorge, visiting Fort Niagara, and walking Goat Island and the Three Sisters.

Derek,
I'm sure you must have an interesting story about treating 31 hedgehogs in a small flat. Are they at risk in Epping Forest?

Given the odds, I fear it might be more correct to say that the 31 hedgehogs are "treating" the small flat!! ;D ;D ;D

Southern (or s.w.) Ontario Canada here -- in the home of what used to be, maybe still is, the largest Oktoberfest outside of Munich Germany itself. Alas, the college kids have mostly taken it over and turned it into a drink-till-you-puke-fest, so we don't get the hordes of visitors we used to.

Hi, snap, glad to meet you. No harm in saying I'm in Kitchener, just to confirm that -- that info's all over the net anyway.
If you mean the old "Twist" (or Super 7 -- head injury plus accumulated years don't exactly enhance memory ;) ), that's been gone and replaced by a nightclub (still the Twist) for at least 10 or 12 years now. I drove taxi weekends for 20 years, and almost any time of evening it was a great place to sit and wait for fares.

Well,I think I`m the only person hereabouts from the Isle of Man!
OK,so you don`t know where that is-let me explain:
It`s a self governing island in the middle of the Irish Sea size 35m x 15m,about midway between Ireland and the U.K.and formerly known as a "tax haven",but now referred to as an "offshore investment centre" i.e.,no money laundering now-we hope!
The U.K. looks after defence and foreign relations etc. for us,and we are not part of the EEC.We have many overseas residents here, but mostly from South Africa it seems! So why have I not been invited for a "braai" yet guys?
