From Switzerland, new member and discovered the forum two days ago.

Congratulations to those running this forum and participants. I'm learning a lot. An excellent source for information on computer security for beginners like me.

Research interests include fields such as history, languages, science, new technologies. Particular interest for the history of maritime trade.

Reside in Switzerland but a UK citizen. Located nearby Geneva. That's in the French speaking part of Switzerland. Soon to relocate in Basel (3rd city in size and in the German part) and at the immediate border to Germany and France.

Just for info:

Capital of Switzerland is Bern (in the Swiss-German area).
Roughly 7.5 million citizens.

The country has a federal system just like the United States, and divided into 26 states (cantons as they call them here).

Hey Everybody. I'm from South Carolina. I'm new to the forum and not quite sure what I'm doing.

Does anybody know what they mean by subscriptions in the forum - and how do you subscibe? Like I said, I'm new to actually participating in forums; I usually just go to them and read the stuff. Great! Only it seems that you are studying Traditional Chinese. Since I'm from PRC,we use Simplified Chinese. We are able to read but not encouraged to use TC. The difference between the two is just the writing of characters though. TC is only used in Taiwan now. If you are not sure,search wiki and check the details. ;)

BTW,my number of teachers and students is not limited! ;D

Okay...a serious answer!

Hot Springs, Virginia for several years and before that, 16 years in Natural Bridge, VA. But a Tarheel at heart as I grew up in Asheville, NC.

I was here this summer, Lake Moomaw outside of Hot Springs, a good size lake surrounded by National Forest. We camped at the primitive site, which only means one has to hike 5 miles to it [yeah, right] or arrive by boat, which we did, sailboat and canoe.
