I have tried this procedure on my abit UL8/AMD work system and it's fine, on my home system however, I'm having problems.

Boot from 9.1 3602 CD, create image of C: partition (~5GB) to an external firewire drive, replace HDD with a new unformatted drive, boot from 9.1 CD, restore previously created image to new drive, windows gets to blue screen just prior to logon and goes no further, can still move mouse cursor though.

Spec:
Abit KN8 NF4
Athlon XP64
1GB
420W psu
All drives IDE, not SATA, no raid involved

As I said before, the SAME procedure works on the Abit UL8 system, and I've pulled all unused drives/bits off of the PC to simplify things. Tonight I will take another small IDE drive home and try that, and also the 3633 build of acronis....
