update for spywareguard?

yes i know everyone has said spyware guard doesnt need to update often because of it can detect unknown spyware and whatnot. but 2 year old technology in any book has to be at least partially outdated. im sure some kind of spyware has evolved in the last two years that spyware guard cannot detect. surely the program needs to be updated or maybe im just missing something? does anyone know about any thing from javacool concerning the updates?
