I have installed the latest version of Spywareblaster, and have enabled all the protection options for both Firefox and IE, however I still have cookies downloaded onto my system when I surf using IE.

I have checked when using CCcleaner, the software seems to remove cookies when using Firefox but still downloads them with IE, and the software states that I should be protected from this happening when Spywareblaster is installed and running.

Is this to be expected generally, or is this unique to my computer?

Cookies are a necessity of the Internet, but not all cookies. See post #6 of this thread. http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?p=758795#post758795 Give it a try and see if it dose`t help out some.

I did the same thing with Opera. I erase Operas Cookies4.dat in C:\Documents and Settings\user name\Application Data\Opera\Opera\profile. It regeneriates so I can delete it or Erase it with Eraser http://www.heidi.ie/
