I'm for a good firewall for my Windows XP x64. I currently using Tiny Firewall x64, I'm planning to change it because it sucks. Is anybody here can recomend me a good firewall for my x64. And i'm using a NOD32 AV.

Thanx in advance

Ghostwall works on x64 tho its only a packet filter. ZoneAlarm has a x64 beta (http://download.zonelabs.com/bin/free/beta/index.html).

theres not many choices for a 64-bit firewall but keep ur eye out for outpost 4.0.

The special preview version for the x64 ZA has been taken off the beta page and is therefore no longer available for download. The x64 version is still undergoing further developments and the official beta for for the x64 ZA will be announced in the future on the ZL forums (http://forum.zonelabs.org).

Please do not download and install any of the ZA products that are currently on the beta page onto a 64bit Windows XP. Those beta downloads are only for the 32-bit versions of Windows and not the 64-bit version.

What about the integrated Windows Firewall . NOD32 is the one that will monitor the so called unsolicated outgoing "calls" by killing them before they try to "call"

I must concur; Tiny is unusable - the interface is glacially slow and the amount of configuration required for normal operation is staggering; I could go out of business trying to configure TF.

Further, the Tiny Software is unresponsive; I tried many many times to get them to provide the free 64-bit upgrade they had promised me when I purchased the software - so now the tally is two times they have failed to keep an upgrade promise.

It *may* very well be a capable firewall, but it is useless if you can't install, operate, or upgrade it.

AVG (grisoft) handles x64 nicely; that is what I use.
