Hi,
The screen on my PC suddenly began flashing on and off and keyboard and mouse functions froze completely. I wasn't doing anything suspicious at the time - simply typing some information into a note taking program. Nothing I could do made any difference so I did a hard reboot. This appears to have cleared the problem.
I subsequently did a full scan with ewido and found the usual tracking cookies which I eliminated. Nothing resembling a virus, etc. was identified. Can anyone advise if the symptoms described are likely associated with an infection, or should I be looking at hardware/software problems with the video. I've tried searching the net, etc. with no luck. If it's related to the video card, etc., would that account for the frozen keyboard, etc.?
As information, I'm using Trend Micro's PC-cillin Internet Suite for AV, as well as Cyberhawk and ewido. I've done that for some time with no conflicts at all.
Any advice would be appreciated.
