Hi all,
After creating an image of an HD (using TIW 8 or 9) is there a TI Backup Image Browser?
Ghost has a tool called "ghostexp.exe" this allows you to leave the .exe file on your desktop; you can reach the source image(s) (i.e. dvd, external hd) files and restore files as needed?
Thanks

TI 9 allows you to Mount/Unmount the image, see the comands under Operations on the main screen. TI 8 does the same but it is called Plugging AFAIK.
You can mount a TI 9 image in either Read-Only or Read/Write mode. Making a change in R/W mode doesn't change the original image file but the changes are captured in an incremental backup that is created.
The image file will look like another drive in Windows explorer and you can do the typical operations on the files in the image such as copy etc.

Hello TNice,
Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/).
We are sorry for the delayed response.
Please note that as seekforever said you can mount partition images as virtual drives, then using Windows Explorer and other file managers, you can view the image contents as if they were located on a physical disk or partition. You can Invoke the Mount Image Wizard by clicking on the Mount Image or by right-click on the image archive and press "Mount" (please see attached screen shot). As it was metioned in version 8.0 this feature called "Plug Image"
Also you with Acronis True Image 9.0 Home you are able to restore specified files or folders from the image archive.
Additional information about can be found in Chapters 6. "Restoring the backup data" and Chapter 11. "Mounting an image as a virtual drive" in the Acronis True Image 9.0 Home User Guide (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/download/docs/).
Thank you.
