View Full Version : IE Helpers! ABOUT TICK.exe

Recently I have discovered that I have an IE helper ,which is called "ABOUT TICK.exe" and I do not remember having it , before I having some nusty infections. Can anybody tell me , if this is spyware and how can I remove it? Using hijack this utility , winpatrol or another way?

Yes, in agreement with Lamehand. Go post an HJT log (just not here (http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=42149)).
PCHell references some information. With so many variation's these day's, it may or may not be your target.

"ABOYT TICK.exe" is finally spyware. It works in stealth mode with autoupdate capasity and it adds itself as IE helper , gaining special privileges and causing system instability! Thanks guys for your help! I have found until know approximately 90 serious infections in my system, but I am still standing!
