Hi! I need help!!!
My company(college) need to buy about 20 PC. But when discussing it with manager, manager say budget is < MYR 1000 per PC. I encourage him to buy BRANDED PC, which means the BRANDED PC normally already have licensed Windows XP, they also will give you a recovery CD. But the budget is exceed already... So, manager decide to buy custom PC, he already ordered 20 PC, but ordered 5 licensed windows XP Pro.
My question is can 1 licensed installed and actived for all PC? The PC hardware is almost same.

No, not without purchasing a VLK(volume license key). In other words commonly referred to as the Corperate edition of XP Pro.

You means after I purchase volume license key, then One CD can be installed and activated for all PC?

Yes, if you purchase the Corperate edition of windows XP pro you can install it on more than one computer.

Are you sure firecat? I will try to ask but my country don't have Microsoft Authorised Seller. So, its hard to ask them.

Your profile says you are in Kuala Lumpur. I am sure Malaysia has authorized Microsoft resellers. MS recently announced their Genuine Advantage program is piloting in Malaysia.

Yes, you are right. Many computer shop got sell Windows XP cd, but when i ask them, they all say buy 1 cd for 1 PC, the rest they don't know. That is the problem, that why i need to contact 'REAL' microsoft company.
