Ichecker: I cannot get access to some sites!

Hello,
The first time I participate presenting a problem..excuse circumstances that lead me to that!

I would appreciate ur assistance in the following, guys!

Few days ago I installed Kaspersky6 (300)
Though I used to use this kasper without any troubles (kaspersky 5 personal pro)
However, with th 6 ed. I cannot get access to some sites>>
I cannot see but a white page though it is footed :(DONE) !!!

I tried many things to solve that:
1-disabling the the ichecker and iswift features in the program.
2- I put the site that wouldn’t open in the TRUSTED URL list.
3- downloaded (Klstreamremover.zip) from:

ftp://ftp.kaspersky.com/utils/klstreamremove r/klstreamremover.zip

as it shows it asone of the solutions to erase th e saved info about the scan objects according to the ichecker and iswift technologies!

MAY BE I DIDN’T KNOW WHERE TO UNZIP THE FILE.. I TRIED TO LET IT WORK IN THE c AND d PARTITIONS IN DIF. FOLDERS BUT NO WAY WITH THAT ICHECKER…………I NEED UR HELP IN THis point.

Here is the way demonstrated in their site:

To clear the stream files on the NTFS partitions, do the following:
• Download the utility Klstreamremover.zip
• Unzip the archive in the root catalogue of the section where you are planning to clear the streams
• Run Kl stream remover.exe with the parameter –r
• Wait utility work to finish

Note: if there are several NTFS partitions on your computer, repeat previously described actions for each partition.

that's to disable the ANTI-BANNER feature.. I fetched the sections of the prog. For that antibanner but didn’t find it?


WHAT TO DO NOW?
I need to open some sites desperately!
It's a case of time.
Plz help me on that!

P. S. main pages of some sites open easily (e.g msn) but when I come to the page of signing in, it wouldn’t!
Some others do not open even the main pages.

KAV5 was using them, but KAV6 is not anymore.

ha ..though I dont have full understaning of such type of knowledge..I agree with u as far as I know that ichecker is for FAT32 sections not NTFS partitions..and I might consider that istream is not my problem!
is that right?

If you are using KIS 6 then right click on the system tray icon and select 'Settings'. In the 'Settings' panel left click on 'Antispy' in the tree structure on the extreme upright of the panel. This should open the 'Antispy' panel and you should then see a check box for 'Anti Banner'. If you are using KAV 6......then I do not know and you should post a question on the Kaspersky Forum. One of the gurus there should sort you out pretty quickly.

Is it anti-virus or internet security? (have a look in the title bar).

Does disabling "web anti-virus" make a difference to the loading of these webpages?

Anti-Banner is a KIS specific module.

Try disabling web anti-virus and posting back with results...

I did try that..and I did uninstall the whole kasper thing but it didnt work...the change seems stuck in my Pc!

As for the non-loading pages, I had the same issue and was forced to uninstall KAV6.

There are no options to enable/ disable iStreams as its not used in this product line. iSwift is a new technology not using streams.

What website is this? Could be that the website is offline/ experiancing problems at the time.

You might have some issues with Mail and Web AV's, but where in KAV 6.0 did you find checkboxes. I've been installing and uninstall this version(beta's) for several months, and I've never seen any ADS checkboxes.

For the life of me I can't see why Ichecker would affect any website stuff, mail and web av might, as it totally blocks internet access on one of my machines, but just uninstalling those modules, it clears the problem. If you got a good uninstall, then your problem is else where. If you didn't then
go to ftp://kav2006:Fynb02dbhec60@data.kaspersky.ru/ and download KisKav6Remove.zip and follow the instructions contained therein. You will need to do this in safemode.
