View Full Version : Garbage files after a Restore?

I recently backed-up XP using a complete back-up stored on the TI secure partition. I chose the "Over Write" option. I now have thousands of files with names like "XYZ~123.xxx; some with ZERO size? I spent two hours hunting for and deleting these.
Is TI going to do this every time I restore/recover? If I overwrote originals ;why are they apparently renamed and left there?

What version and build number of True Image are you using?

I am using the latest build of ver.9 ... I'm very good at keeping things updated.

In the last three days Acronis released three build updates so that must be build 3633 that you have. If it is, then it is too early to say if you have discovered a bug or whether it is something peculiar to your system.
If you have another hard drive, I would recommend that you do another restore to it and see if the same thing happens.
I prefer not to update right away as there are always new bugs to be found.
