Kaspersky® Anti-Virus 6.0 and Kaspersky® Internet Security 6.0 unveiled-{ Quote: "Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of secure content management solutions that protect against viruses, Trojans, worms, spyware, hacker attacks and spam, is launching new and enhanced versions of its antivirus and Internet security software.
Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 (http://www.kaspersky.com/kav6) protects PCs against all malicious programs, combining traditional signature-based methods (detection of viruses based on their descriptions) with proactive protection. The proactive element detects threats by analyzing the behavior of malicious programs, minimizing false positives.
The product is particularly effective against spyware programs, as it provides the option of rolling back any changes to the file system and the registry made by a malicious process. When a malicious object is deleted, all references to it are also deleted from the operating system.
Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 monitors all critical areas of the operating system for potential threats, and can detect hidden code, such as rootkits; and ensures that data transferred to and from the computer is safe by scanning in real-time all incoming and outgoing emails, as well as files and web pages downloaded from the Internet.
Additionally, the scanning speed of the new software, and the time taken to download antivirus updates, is faster than its predecessor." }-Announcement cont. (http://www.kaspersky.com/news?id=186734476)

I like the Kaspersky Lab products, it's awesome how much they improve with each version. At home I'm using their Personal Security Suite and am very satisfied with it - it offers not only anti-virus protection, but also firewall, adware/spyware remover and even spam filtering. It's a bit pricey though - around $80. There are sites of course offering discount for it <snip>, that make the price a bit more "chewable".

Instead of buying through that site, why not simply buy it for $59.95 through the official channel:http://www.kaspersky.com/version6_promo?:)

Perhaps he didn't buy it because while the link works, if you try buying either of the products, you get a screen from Element 5 saying your cart is empty!>:(

I noticed this as well. BUT.....if you select "Compare" located next to version 6, and then click on the "Buy" link from that page, it does work properly. It also saves $10 compared to the last link that Don just posted ;D
