Newbie need firewall advice

This seems like interesting forum full of good information. I need firewall advice I was thinking of Computer Associates ezfirewall looks a lot like Zone alarms is it a resource hog? I did use Zone alarm year or so ago and really slowed my machine down so much I hade to remove it. I use CA anti virus and pest patrol and for the past year have had no viruses, Trojans or spy ware these 2 products seem to be very good. Was curious about the firewall.

i think the FW of CA is the same as ZAP but w/o the antispyware..ZASS uses the CA vet antivirus engine for their AV and CA uses the zone alarm firewall

CA firewall is just rebadged Zonealarm Pro 5.5 not to bad on resources and is a pretty decent firewall.
