For the record : any alternative for Adobe's Acrobat Reader(AR) is unacceptable. This is about AR only.
Most recent softwares for creating and/or reading documents have a setting, where you can define a default folder, where these documents are stored.
Each time you open such a software and you want you to open a file, the software opens that default folder.
MS Word, MS Excel have such a default folder and that's what I call NORMAL.
AR v7.0.7 (latest version) is also such a software and my problem is :
I can't find a setting in AR to define a DEFAULT folder ?
After opening AR, it gives me the folder "My Documents", I don't want and I can choose the folder, I want of course and AR remembers that folder until I close AR. When I re-open AR, it gives me again the same folder "My Documents", I don't want.
Maybe I'm blind or too old, but I couldn't find such a setting in AR, neither under "Tools", nor under "Edit/Preferences".
Maybe I can change that unwanted folder somewhere in the registry, but that's not my favorite choice.
If it doesn't exist at all, I'm stupified that such a heavy software, doesn't have that SIMPLE and SELF-EVIDENT setting.
Can you find that setting in AR for me? :)
