When I log on after about a minute or two, I get a Runtime Error 2147024703 (800700c1) Automation Error. %1 is not a valid Win32 application.

It was working fine before; I was uninstalling a couple programs (Music Jukebox and some math program by Design Science.

I am running XP Pro
Spybot Search & Destroy
AdAware SE
Firewall - Sysgate 5.5 build 2710
WinPatrol
Arovax Shield
Avast 4.6

I've tried uninstalling SG, tried to install Windows Script 5.6 (having an issue with it).

Suggestions?

Thanks!

and

error registering the OCX C:\WINDOWS\system32\vbscript.dll

Does this help?

I'm certainly no expert when it comes to these errors but as to the second one u might try to register that file yourself,

http://www.aliensoftware.co.uk/Files/Register_an_ocx_file.asp

Also have u tried downloading the newest Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 as seen on the troubleshooting page,

My 1st reply above (scripten.exe ...) is what I get. I followed the advice of snowbound. Was able to install VB6. However, when I tried to register the file manually, the computer response was that it was not necessary.
