JAVA Applet alert

My wife plays Yahoo spades. Then we get these little popups with what looks like an Alladins lamp and it says Java Aplet alert. They don't want to close when you click on the X. It doesn't indicate what popped up the allert. I run scans and nothing shows up. Does anyone know the origin of the alerts?

I can't understand what I am being allerted to or what is doing the allerting.

i checked out yahoo games...clicking on any of teh game links triggered java to load. the games must require java to play, and yahoo just loads it in advance.
