Ip ping with worm

ok my ip has been pinged 3 times in the last 20 mins and it has set norton internet worm protection off, when i try to trace the ip or ping the ip it tells me destination host unreachable. is there a way i can stop the pings or a way that i can ping back so i can figure out where its comming from?

Norton alerts on everything; even the most benign traffic - which of course there's lots of. Simply turn the alerts off - there's no point of Norton alerting you to any of these attempts as they're being blocked anyway. Norton more than anything spits these alerts up to make it look like it's earning it's money to the average user.

I doubt someone has crafted a ping to disable Norton's Worm Protection. You should goto www.ewido.com and run the free scan.
