Hi minacross,

The only brute way to prevent this is:

Open Nod, go to Imon and disable it.

It is a known issue and has been brought under the attention of Eset.

If there is a virus in your mail or in downloads, Amon will catch it anyway, so no worries there.

Let us know how it goes oké.

Martin

Hi Martin,
Unfortunately it did not work, I faced the same problem after disabling IMON. :( :( :( :(
So, o you know when Eset will fix this error? :'(
As for now I use NOD32 as an on-demand scanner and ETrust AV 7 as my on-access scannener.

rgds,

Mina

Hi Mina,

Well, maybe one of the Mods know an answer to this, but as it is weekend they will probably be online tomorrow, so hold on, help is on its way ;)

Martin

Hi Minacross,

I have also been experiencing this same crash on one of my pcs as well as a number of my customers, who are all running Win98SE. These pcs are all running Win98SE, have been updated with the latest MS updates from the MS update site, are running a SW firewall, but the crash normally occurs in a program like Internet Explorer, Outlook Express and Yahoo Messenger and is easiest to reproduce when closing one of these programs.

Jan from Eset, is well aware of this problem and I have been sending him all the info I can to assist in solving this error. As this is an intermittent error, it is difficult to reproduce, so the more info Eset has, the quicker this can be fixed.

To help in resolution of this error send Jan a PM with any info that you think is relevant.

A quick fix - upgrade your OS to WinXP. ;)
