Sir Blaze,
The "old" abbandoned TC will stay up for download on our site. Nevertheless, all components have been included in ANTS v3.0 Personal.
As a stand alone app, the software will not be developped any further; as stated before, both the ANTS and the TC coders decided to join forces and go for the ANTS v3.0 Personal software development.
regards.

Before MRBLAZE starts his cloning of TrojanCheck, I have a question ??? Since, as I understand it, TrojanCheck looks for unknown trojans and such, will it still be a good tool to use even if not updated any more? I would like to use it in conjunction with ANTS 3 Lite when it comes out. I don't have the$$$$ to spend on software, so I have to stick with the freebies. ;D

Most parts of TC 5.0 are available in ANTS 3.0 lite, too :o).

Thanks for the info. *In your opinion, would I get as much protection using ANTS 3 Lite alone as using it with TC5? *If so, I am getting as excited as MRBLAZE about this product :D

Yes, nearly the same. The guard doesn't provide a monitoring of your registry autostarts (but perhaps i will implement it, but not in realtime as ants 3.0 personal offers it) but scans your memory permanently for trojans (like BOClean). It will be a real memory scan so crypted and packed trojans won't be a problem.
I will speak a little bit with leo and the other people working on ANTS and can say you our decission about the autostart protection tomorrow :o). But i think it should be possible :o).

1 when is there goin to be info relised on ants 3 lite english edition
2 how can i get background monitering if the lite version of ants dosnt have it see im also a person that dosnt have a lot of money to spend so i have to stick with the free versions to
not haveing background monitering presents a pertentuley serious situation because you would have no way to know that a trogen had goten on to ya comp unless ya ran a scan
dont get me wrong im gratefull that thay are even releasing a free version but i though i would voice my concerns in the hope that thay will add back ground monitering even if its not as good as the pay version
3 is there any plan to add some sort of back ground moniter to ants 3 lite even if its not as good as the registered version or will it remain strictley an on demand scanner ??

We are still thinking about the layout of ANTS 3.0 lite. Sorry.

There IS a background protection compareable to the TrojanHunter Guard and BOClean. Its a continous memory scan :o). But we think about an implementation of autostart monitoring :o).

There will be a background monitor which is much less powerfull than the ants 3.0 private monitor, but it works ;o).
