There are two places that TI will ask for a password when scheduling a task.

The first one can be ignored - it just allows you to password protect your image file. The second one must be filled in if you use the XP logon - in other words if when you boot up XP you have it set so that you type in a password to bring up your desktop, then TI will need to know this. If you have no other users set up and you have auto logon - you don't type in a password and XP automatically boots to your desktop, then I don't think you need to put in the password for TI.

You have to do this because TI allows you to install it so that all users of your computer (assuming multiple users) can access TI and have different backup routines.

Hello wokoenig,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/).

Please note that if you do not use any password to log on to Windows XP then you do not need to type any password. However, you will need to specify the user name, otherwise no scheduled execution will be available. The user name should have the following format: Computer Name\User name. Please type in user name the same as in Scheduled Tasks available at Start > All programs > Accessories > System tools > Scheduled tasks. Schedule a new task with Add New Task wizard and copy user name form it.

Thank you.
