Just installed but ......

I have just installed TrueImage 9.0 and Disk Director 10.0. Om trying to install OS Selector I received the error message "Failed to write to sector 0 of hard disk 1!. If I choose to ignore the program loads up and does identify that I have Windows XP SP2 as OS. If a cancel error meesage I am advised that Acronis OS seclector cannot find the necessary configuration file. Please reinstall OS selector. Reinstallation makes no difference and closing down all other prigrams does not help either.

I note from manual that it is not essential to install OS Selector if only using one OS, but why the problem?
